I've been using Eudora for over 10 years and still using 7 (paid mode).
Was gutted when development ceased and delighted to see renewed interest. My favourite feature was that attachments were saved separately in /attach subdirectory, and also that mailboxes and contacts lists were accessible as TXT files. Contrast with Outlook's annoying and unwieldly PST files! Anyway I'm upgrading to 8.0 and trying to figure out how it works. Is it still possible to see attachments, mailboxes and contacts lists separately? I'm having trouble finding them. I've talked a major client into considering a change from MS Exchange/Outlook solution and hope to continue supporting Eudora. Many thanks for any advice or help you can offer. Regards, Kat |

I'm having trouble opening attachments with Eudora 7 and Windows Vista. It's possible that the problem is with the location of the file where the attachments are saved.
Anyone have any suggestions? I've been using Eudora for years and like it however previous experience was with Windos XP, Windows 98. Pam tandas |

This Forum is for Penelope/Eudora 8, Pam. Post your question again in this one: http://eudorabb.qualcomm.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3 if you need more help.
Problems in Vista and in Windows 7 are often related to where the data files are located. They should NOT be in Program Files which is a protected area. Last edited by Ela Vesor; 12-21-2009 at 02:19 PM. |
