Default Eudora 6.2.3 Still Can't Send or Receive

I just re-installed 6.2.3 following a HD clean install. Have a Mac G4, running OSX 3.9. It worked fine before re-installing, but now cannot either send or receive. In addition to that problem, though I've checked the "save password" box in Checking Mail, I still get the "password box".

I've tried several supposedly corrective steps outlined in these Eudora documents: 2116HQ and 2687HQ. And I've followed advice posted here about how to "cause Eudora to 'ignore' specific authentication mechanisms" by fooling with the x-eudora-settings that were listed. Nothing works.

Finally, following steps in Document ID: 1779HQ, I created a "Eudora Problem Log" file. However, and needless to say, Eudora doesn't allow me to email this file. How do I get help?

Dave

Thumbs down me too

I installed Eudora 6.2.3. today, running in Mac OS 10.3.9

It appears to be receiving mail but not sending it.

What's wrong ? My setting are all correct.

Default

I unchecked the "allow authorization" box in Eudora preferences ----> personalities (both personalities ... I have two) and Eudora started sending my mail again.

I realise this may only be a temporary fix but hey, I have other things to think about.

Qualcomm has nothing to think about except the efficacy of their products, so as a paid user I'm expecting them to fix this (and not ME, or my hopeless ISP who never respond to queries anyway).
